On June 24, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court delivered a decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling. This decision will have significant implications for women’s healthcare across the US and in many states where our colleagues, partner organizations and patients live and work.
At Zymeworks, ensuring health equity is important to us, including removing barriers that disproportionately affect women and other groups. As a company, our goal is to ensure our employees and their dependents have access to the medical services they need, when they need them. For employees and covered dependents who need to travel out of state in the U.S. to receive medical care related to women’s reproductive health services, Zymeworks is committed to reimbursing the cost of travel to another state. Zymeworks stands by its commitment to provide access to the best healthcare and medicines available to any employee regardless of their geographic location, economic status or healthcare plan.
